According to statistics, there has been significant growth in the U.S. solar industry over the last decade. Reports have shown that the capacity has increased from 2.5 gigawatts in 2010 to over 81 gigawatts by mid-2020. One of the main factors that have led to growth is the availability of the federal solar panel tax credit, which stands at 26% as of 2020.

You have probably heard the words ‘solar energy’ used a lot. However, past knowing that they are somehow important for the environment and some vague details about how they benefit finances, most people do not know much about how solar panels work or even what solar energy does or how it works.

Sunlight grows our crops, trees, and flowers, lets us see, and is one of our sources for vitamin D. It is also a source of energy for homes, businesses, and one airplane. In California, with our 1895 hours of usable sunlight each year, it’s no surprise that people are turning to solar.
